Culture For Life

Our Culture For Life program allows our youth to explore their identity, through various forms depending on the individual. Together, we can accept ourselves and embrace both internal and external influences that shaped our identity through expression and dialogue.

Art Therapy

Art promotes imagination and creativity, allowing participants to find their voice and express themselves. Activities like painting and writing a poem provides safe outlets for our Youth.

Group Therapy

Participants have the opportunity to relate to one another in a group setting. It can be especially helpful for participants struggling with social anxiety, poor social skills, or inattentiveness. The group setting offers support and allows participants to work through their obstacles with other people as they occur.

Music Therapy

Similar to art therapy, music therapy provides a nonverbal, creative outlet for emotions. Music facilitates relaxation by enabling our young people to release emotions in an effective and productive way.

Trauma Counseling

This can be beneficial to youth who have experienced a traumatic event. By engaging in trauma-focused treatment, our young people can learn more about what he/she is experiencing, how to address the concerns and develop healthier ways of coping. Ways of coping can connect to the expression aspect of our journey of self.

Gender Development

We provide participants with a space free of gender stereotypes to discuss their identity and relationship with gender. This safe space will promote self-exploration and teach fluidity.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Gaining a better understanding of the behaviors and motivation of others, our youth can use Problem-solving skills to cope with situations that can be challenging.  Our youth will develop a greater sense of confidence, and trust which will lead to motivating and inspiring others.
